While working as a summer intern with her father's business Laura Linney fell in love by theatre. Then, at Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which she began her acting career. Following her graduation at Brown University in the year 2000, she made her Broadway debut shortly thereafter. In the space of two years from that, her first film was released and the next year her TV debut. She has been in many television shows, films and stage shows since. In her career as a professional she's been awarded numerous awards. This includes her two Golden Globe Awards.
